The Essence of Racing, the award-winning campaign created by Allen & Gerritsen and Sunoco, is revving up for more honors.
Today, A&G was honored with a 2016 Media Maven Award by the Ad Club at Media Innovation Day. This prestigious award falls under the Surprise & Delight Plan Activation category, which recognizes a media strategy that steps outside of the norm, is unexpectedly executed, and results in unforeseen success.
The Essence of Racing campaign, and the Burnt Rubber fragrance created as its centerpiece, was also named a finalist for a MediaPost OMMA Award in the Fashion/Beauty/Cosmetics category alongside legendary brands Dove and Revlon. The national OMMA Awards recognize the agencies and advertisers that push the potential of digital advertising. Winners will be announced at a dinner on September 26th at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. Until then, voting is open to determine the Members’ Choice Award amongst all categories.
