Redefining a University


Like many colleges across the country, La Salle University has been challenged with attracting the quantity and quality of students that are vital to their present, as well as their future. But connecting with a prospective 16-to-18-year-old has also changed dramatically over the past decade. So, how do we succeed? By creating an authentic rallying cry—for students, alums, faculty and staff. By building a plan from client data and media insight, to create a hyper-targeted #SoLoMo (Social + Local + Mobile) campaign. And in turn, by reaching and engaging with the right students for La Salle as effectively as possible.

‘Explorers are Never Lost’ is a campaign that represents the guidance four years at La Salle provides a student—as a professional, leader and citizen. To help them find their own path, and become the person they truly wish to be. It represents a renaissance at the institution, from boosting school spirit to driving fundraising to elevating the University’s profile overall. To help craft this story, we created a compelling manifesto video, microsite and viewbook—because we know direct mail still makes college feel ‘real’ to those looking to immerse themselves in the student experience. Then, integrated social content, smartly-targeted Snapchat geofilters and mobile-centric media allowed us to reach the right kind of future Explorers when and where they interact most.
