BOSTON, MA and PHILADELPHIA, PA – June 10, 2021 – Allen & Gerritsen (A&G), an independent, creative-led advertising agency in Boston and Philadelphia, announces its partnership as the new agency of record for Penn State THON (THON), the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, and THON’s sole beneficiary, Four Diamonds, a non-profit gift fund.

A&G will work with the two organizations to expand their national presence and advance brand recognition through targeted public relations and influencer marketing campaigns. The partnership will also include an educational curriculum to teach THON student volunteers the craft of public relations through workshops and monthly development meetings.

First organized in 1973, THON has since grown into the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. Each year, more than 16,500 student volunteers participate in year-long fundraising efforts to benefit Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. Four Diamonds is THON’s sole beneficiary, and since 1972, has covered 100% of all medical expenses related to cancer care not covered by insurance for more than 4,000 children and families.
